bigger IS better

hahaha...meet the updated version of my old love...the JUMBO caviar flap. i wanted to make that explicit or else you're going to think, "why the heck is she posting her old chanel? she must be running out of bag worthy thoughts." NOPE.

since buying my medium/large caviar flap a few months ago, i was having "issues." not loud, public issues, but definitely the growing itch that it wasn't the right one for me. if you were a recipient of a lot of these neurotic thoughts, i apologize. i must "heart" you enough to call you up to talk about my "baggages" (hahaha...i crack myself up). anyways, i FINALLY decided, WHAT THE HECK, this is an expensive bag. i'm going to call bloomingdale's chanel to see if i can remedy this situation especially since i'm not totally loving it anymore.

remember the caviar wallet that i had returned? well, the nice lady that helped me then is named kazue and she helped me once again for this transaction (i think just like rogerio, my hair stylist, i will be only going to her from now on for any chanel purchases. she is awesome!). she looked at my purse and said it was in mint condition. yeah...that's cuz it was hardly used! it still had that new leather smell for all you purse sniffers out there! anyways, i told her i wanted to do an exchange for a bigger size and serendipitously, she had the perfect purse for me. a jumbo caviar flap with gold hardware in their security coded stock room. it's BRAND new, with WRAPPED chain link straps, TISSUE PAPER in the right places, and a CHANEL price TAG that would make me blush if i looked at it too much...so i don't. i kind of ignore it. anyways, it only required me to give her my bloomingdale's gift card that i got and i was able to walk away with my brand new jumbo flap. yes!

it was a good call for me, too. totally! one of the reasons why i didn't use my old caviar flap much was because it was TOO SMALL. i know, i thought i was a minimalist too, but by golly, it could only fit my wallet, cell phone, and keys. i can't even squeeze in a tampon! wait, i don't use tampons...a pad! you have to rejigger the contents all the time so i was over it....seriously, when i had originally bought the medium/large size, i had thought, wow, it can be so versatile and go from day to night in a flash. slowly, i realized what my social situation is and daytime meant eating and shopping (which means an automatic bigger bag for comfort) and night time meant sometimes drinking at dive bars which aren't chanel appropriate places anyways. the old flap has got to go. i need a flap that i can use a lot and during the day even if it looks like a big suitcase as described by my sis.

hello jumbo! i haven't taken it out for its debut yet because it's only 2 days old and i'm sitting at home typing away. you can imagine what a busy little squirrel i've been! i really dig it a lot and i can tell i'll be using it more because the overly protective feeling i once had for my old chanel isn't there anymore. maybe it's because i finally realize that this one is going to stay. ok, so in that box, it housed my chanel jumbo caviar flap. so what's in this box?! hahhahahaha.......
